I’ve taken my dog to many places on Long Island and this has been my least favorite. While you can walk to the pond, you can only go so far then you have to double back since the trail does not circle the pond. And if you don’t watch where you’re going you wind up hitting someone’s private property and you have to double back again. I also found several ticks on my pup, which is a first! We have walked many a wooded trail and this is the first time I have ever seen ticks on him-hopefully the last since I won’t be returning. Certainly wasn’t worth the gas (which was over $4/gallon today).
