Once the site of Camp Columbia, where engineering students from Columbia University would stay in the summer. Columbia leased 120 acres, students would stay in 35 tents surrounding the main farmhouse on the property. During WWI, the camp was a military combat training facility, with activities including drills, map making, camouflage training, trench digging, etc. Eventually the camp was closed and while it remained unsold, the buildings fell into disrepair. An interpretive trail system is in the works here!
Please note: There is no parking lot on site, but parking is available along Route 109 in the grassy lot.
