This relatively new, DEC managed state forest is rich in history. Local historians believe American patriots working for George Washington walked through these woods during Revolutionary times. Dogs are permitted on all DEC managed lands, but must be leashed and picked up after. Bear in mind that hunting is permitted on certain DEC lands at specific times of the year, it’s always good to check before you hit the trails!
