River Highlands State Park offers beautiful water views on the bluffs overlooking the Connecticut River. The trails in the park will take you over wooden bridges, up on top of the 150′ high bluff, and down to the water’s edge to the spot known as the blowhole. The sound of the wind whistling caused the colonists to call the area the Devil’s Blowhole, believing it to be the work of Satan.
