- About this place:
Jinx Thinks:
Woo, the hills here were a workout! We went into the woods as well as up to the bluff, I enjoyed both! The trails were well kept and comfy underpaw, although a bit narrower than I’m used to in places!
Our Thoughts:
This park is beautiful, no doubt about it. It’s a challenging walk, some rate it among the most challenging here on the island because of all of the inclines (plus sandy areas in spots). The trails do get a bit narrow and winding, which makes it difficult for us with Jinx (he’s huge). He’s used to walking in the ‘heel’ position, so having to go out in front of us was definitely confusing for him at first. We also first visited this park at the peak of the Coronavirus outbreak, and didn’t love how difficult it was to pass other hikers/runners/dogs/bikers because of the narrow width of the trails. Be sure not to enter through the main entrance, the dog walk trail is located on Old Dock Rd.
